Sports Interaction is one of the most familiar betting names in Canada, a brand many hockey fans knew long before Ontario opened its regulated market. Today it belongs to Entain, the global group behind bwin and PartySports, and it runs a dedicated Ontario site and app.
We checked its Ontario licence wording, iGaming Ontario's directory and the Canadian app listings, then read player reviews to see how the brand performs now.
Sports Interaction is best for a long-standing Canadian brand. If you followed Canadian sports betting before Ontario's market opened in 2022, there is a fair chance the name is familiar. In Ontario it now operates as a regulated sportsbook and casino under Entain.
The app covers pre-game and live betting, parlays and same-game parlays, and its listing highlights 150+ markets. Interac is front and centre for banking. App store averages are healthy at 4.5 on iOS.
The written reviews are tougher. Players mention bugs, being logged out, the app switching to French and slow withdrawals. Those are fixable irritations rather than red flags about the licence, but they matter day to day.
We give Sports Interaction 7.6 out of 10: trustworthy and Canadian in feel, but the app experience trails theScore Bet and bet365 Ontario.
Yes. Sports Interaction is listed on iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites at on.sportsinteraction.com, offering casino and sports betting. The Ontario site's footer says it is operated by ElectraWorks Maple Limited acting as agent of iGaming Ontario, and that ElectraWorks Maple Limited is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
ElectraWorks Maple Limited is part of Entain. Entain's Sports Interaction brand secured its AGCO registration in September 2022, joining the group's other Ontario brands.
Sports Interaction also runs sportsinteraction.com for other provinces, operated by a different Entain company, ElectraWorks Limited of Gibraltar, under different rules. If you live in Ontario, use on.sportsinteraction.com or the Ontario app. Only the Ontario product is covered by AGCO oversight and iGaming Ontario's player protections.
Canada legalized single-event betting in August 2021 through Bill C-218, which amended Criminal Code s. 207, and Ontario's regulated market launched on 4 April 2022.
The app lists pre-game and live betting, parlays and same-game parlays, with the listing quoting 150+ markets. For Ontario bettors that means Leafs and Senators moneylines, puck lines and totals, Raptors spreads, Blue Jays run lines and NFL props, plus a deep soccer menu.
For illustration: a C$20 bet on Toronto FC at 2.75 (+175) would return $55 if Toronto wins, your $20 back plus $35 profit. A same-game parlay combining the Canadiens to win at 1.95 and over 6.5 goals at 2.00 would pay about 3.90 if both hit, though same-game prices are usually adjusted because the outcomes are linked.
One Google Play reviewer found the same-game parlay button too close to another control on the new layout, so take a second look at the slip before you confirm.
Live betting runs across the main sports, with odds updating through the game. Hockey is the natural fit: live puck lines and totals during a Hockey Night in Canada doubleheader, or next-goal style markets during the World Juniors.
Neither the iOS nor the Google Play listing advertises live video streaming. If streaming matters, compare bet365 Ontario.
The Canadian App Store lists the app at 4.5 from about 9,500 ratings. On Google Play the Sports Interaction Sportsbook app, published by ElectraWorks Limited, rates 4.3 from roughly 790 reviews with more than 50,000 downloads; it was last updated in September 2026. The Google Play listing says it is for Ontario and Alberta only.
| Platform | Rating | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| iOS (Canada) | 4.5 / 5 (9.5K ratings) | Ontario sportsbook and casino |
| Android (Google Play) | 4.3 / 5 (about 790 reviews) | 50K+ downloads; Ontario and Alberta only |
The app combines a sportsbook with 3,000+ casino games and live tables. Reviews flag a few recurring niggles: frequent log-outs, the interface switching to French, and geolocation errors. Keep location services on and the app updated.
Sports Interaction's Google Play listing promises easy deposits with Interac and Visa, and fast withdrawals. Interac is the obvious choice for most Ontario bettors: it moves money straight from your Canadian bank account in Canadian dollars.
The Ontario site doesn't publish one fixed withdrawal time on its public pages. Your first payout will depend on completing identity checks, so upload ID early. Some reviewers describe the withdrawal process as slow and unclear, which is worth knowing before your first cash-out.
Horse racing isn't one of the features Sports Interaction highlights in its Ontario app listings. For Woodbine thoroughbreds, Mohawk harness racing and the King's Plate, start with our Ontario horse-racing guide or the national Canadian horse-racing betting guide.
Sports Interaction's responsible gaming centre lists spending controls (deposit limits), loss limits, session limits, and time-out and self-exclusion. The Ontario site links to its own Responsible Gaming page and carries the ConnexOntario message in the footer.
The Responsible Gambling Council also offers free information and support across Canada.
The Ontario footer links to Help & Customer Care and to a dedicated Ontario complaints page. Support hours and channels aren't listed on its public pages, so start in the help section inside your account.
If a complaint isn't resolved, the Ontario complaints route is the formal next step, and the AGCO oversees how registered operators handle disputes.
The store averages are good, but the written reviews we could read on both stores were mostly critical, focused on app stability, logins and payouts. We found no short positive written review we could quote accurately, so the quotes below lean critical.
“The new app layout is really frustrating. The "SGP" button is placed too close to the drop-down arrow when placing bets,”
“Switches to French all the time”
“Horrific experience. Withdrawal process is tedious, unclear, and slow.”
Quoted word for word from public reviews; one review is never the whole picture.
