DAZN Bet, the betting arm of sports streaming company DAZN, was among the 22 sites approved for Alberta's launch day on 13 July 2026. It runs a sportsbook and casino at ab.daznbet.ca.
We score it 7.0 out of 10. It is best for fans who already follow sport through DAZN, but it is new to Canada and we could find less public detail on it than on the established books.
DAZN Bet brings a name many sports fans know from streaming to Alberta's betting market. It offers a sportsbook and casino, and in some other countries it lets users track odds and bet while watching live sport on the same platform.
Our score reflects how little we could verify. We found no Canadian App Store or Google Play listing for DAZN Bet, no published Alberta payment details and no confirmation that its watch-and-bet feature runs here.
DAZN Bet suits fans who already watch sport through DAZN and like the idea of the same brand for betting. Until it publishes more Alberta detail, we would treat it as a second account rather than a first.
Yes. DAZN Bet is a legal, regulated option for players in Alberta. The province opened its competitive online market on 13 July 2026 under the iGaming Alberta Act, and two public bodies split the work. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) registers and regulates operators. The Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC), a Crown corporation, conducts and manages the commercial market. An operator has to register with AGLC and then complete a commercial agreement with AiGC before it can take a bet from an Albertan.
AiGC publishes the directory of approved sites, and its rule of thumb is blunt: if an operator does not appear there, it is not regulated. DAZN Bet Sportsbook and Casino is listed at ab.daznbet.ca.
DAZN Bet was listed among the 22 sites approved for launch day, 13 July 2026. Its AGLC registration was confirmed as of 29 May 2026, and it also holds an iGaming operator licence from the AGCO in Ontario.
DAZN Bet's Alberta site offers sports betting alongside its casino. Expect the leagues Albertans care about most, the NHL with the Oilers and Flames, the NFL and CFL, the NBA and soccer, though we could not verify the full market list.
For illustration only: a C$20 bet on the Oilers at 2.50 (+150) returns $50, which is your $20 stake plus $30 profit. A $25 bet on the Flames at 1.80 (-125) returns $45. These are not live prices.
Odds in Canada are commonly shown in decimal format, and many apps let you switch to American odds. Decimal odds include your stake, so 1.80 means a $10 bet returns $18. American odds are quoted against $100: -125 means you risk $125 to win $100, and +150 means a $100 bet wins $150. A decimal price also shows the implied chance: 2.50 works out to 40 per cent, before the sportsbook's margin.
In some markets DAZN Bet lets users track odds and place bets while they watch live sport on the same platform. We could not confirm that this feature is available in Alberta, so check the site before you join if it matters to you.
We found DAZN Bet apps for the UK, Spain and Germany, but no Canadian App Store or Google Play listing when we checked. Use the Alberta website at ab.daznbet.ca, which works in a mobile browser.
DAZN Bet has not published Alberta payment details that we could verify. Check the cashier for deposit and withdrawal methods and limits, and expect to complete identity checks before your first withdrawal. Balances are in Canadian dollars.
We found no horse racing in DAZN Bet's published Alberta offering.
Horse racing in Canada is bet through pari-mutuel pools supervised by the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA), a different system from the fixed odds you get on hockey or football. If you want to bet Century Mile or the big North American cards, our guide to horse racing betting in Alberta covers where Albertans can do that, and the national racing guide explains the pari-mutuel rules.
Every site in AiGC's directory has to offer the same baseline protections: deposit limits, time limits, age verification and self-exclusion. Deposit limits, time limits and self-exclusion are required of every registered site in Alberta, including DAZN Bet.
Alberta runs the AGLC Centralized Self-Exclusion Program. According to AiGC, a decision to step away is honoured by all registered iGaming sites in the province, so excluding yourself once covers DAZN Bet and every other regulated sportsbook at the same time. Details are at selfexclusion.ca.
Set a deposit limit before your first deposit rather than after a bad night. Treat what you stake as the cost of entertainment, never as a way to fix money worries.
Support is reached through the help links on ab.daznbet.ca. As a newer brand in Canada, it has less of a public track record on support than the established books.
We looked for DAZN Bet reviews on the Canadian App Store and Google Play but found no Canadian listing, so we have no Canadian player quotes to show. Reviews of its apps in other countries describe different products and are not included.
