The racing variant follows the same £10-at-evens pattern but on horse racing, with seven days to place the qualifier and three £10 racing free bets: one for any racing market, one for a racing double or bigger and one for a treble or bigger. Whichever version you see, the value is the same £30 for a £10 stake. The football route asks for the quicker qualifier, three days rather than seven, so sign up when you already have a bet in mind rather than in idle curiosity.

A real plus is the lack of payment restrictions: debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay deposits all qualify, where many rivals exclude e-wallets or certain cards. The trade-off is that the free bets come in locked formats. Betano free bet terms explained: the football welcome in detail

The £30 package has more structure than the headline suggests. Here is how each condition works, and where racing punters are most likely to slip up.

Opt in before you deposit

There is no code, but there is a switch. You must opt in through the sign-up or Offers page before depositing, and the qualifier has to be the first eligible bet you place after opting in. A bet struck before the opt-in, however well it fits the terms, will not count.

The qualifying bet

It must be £10 or more of real cash on a football market at evens (2.0) or bigger, placed within three days of opening the account. A horse racing bet will not qualify for this version. Bets fully or partly cashed out, void bets, odds boosts, enhanced prices, special markets and anything placed with bonus funds are all excluded.

Three tokens, three formats

The free bets arrive in stages after the qualifier settles: a £10 football accumulator token for three or more selections, a £10 Bet Builder token for three or more selections from one match, credited 24 hours after settlement, and a £10 token for any football market, which lands 48 hours after settlement. Each carries minimum odds of evens.

Using and splitting them

Select Use bonus funds on the bet slip to apply a token. Betano allows a free bet to be split across more than one bet, the tokens expire 14 days after they are credited, and winnings carry no wagering requirement, though the stake is never returned.

One per household

The offer is limited to one per customer and per household, and to one welcome offer across sports and casino, so claiming the football free bets rules out the casino welcome.

A worked example

Opt in, deposit £10 by debit card and back a Premier League side at 11/10. Win or lose, the acca token follows once it settles, the Bet Builder token a day later and the any-market token the day after that. A £10 Bet Builder landing at 4/1 pays £40; split the any-market token into two £5 bets at evens and each winner returns £5.
