Only the win part of an each-way bet counts towards the qualifier, though, so do not assume a £10 each-way stake on a 1/2 shot has done the job.

The qualifying side of the Virgin Bet welcome bonus is generous. The rules on spending the tokens are tighter, and they come from the Virgin Bet bonus rules rather than the offer banner.

Accept or reject: the pop-up

Nothing is credited automatically. Once the qualifying bet settles, a pop-up appears the next time you log in, usually within 24 hours and in rare cases up to 72 hours, offering the tokens to accept or reject. Ignore it for seven days and the tokens lapse; accept them and a second seven-day clock starts.

One token, one bet, full value

Each token has to be staked in full on a single bet. A £10 token cannot be split into two £5 bets, and only one token can be used at a time. Tokens work on singles and accumulators of two or more selections, but not on full-cover bets such as a Lucky 15, not each way and not on Virgin Bet Games. They cannot be withdrawn or used to claim another bonus.

Cash stays withdrawable

Taking the offer does not lock up your own money. The deposit balance and any cash winnings can be withdrawn at any point during the promotion; only the tokens themselves are non-withdrawable. New members aged 18 or over who live in and are physically located in Great Britain; the terms do not extend the offer to Northern Ireland. It is one entry per person, and claiming on behalf of a group or through multiple accounts risks closure. Only one welcome offer can be taken across the sportsbook and casino, so a casino sign-up bonus rules out the free bets. Anyone who self-excludes before the tokens are credited loses eligibility.
