LiveScore Bet free bet terms: the details that matter

LiveScore Bet publishes its welcome terms as a separate document from the offer page, and it is there that the restrictions on how the tokens can be spent are set out.

A cash bet, struck in one go

The qualifier has to be a single cash stake of £10 or more, placed in one go rather than built up from smaller bets, on any sportsbook market except virtual sports. If it is an accumulator, every leg must also be bigger than 1/100. Only the first qualifying bet on the account counts, and it has to settle inside the 14 days after registration.

Two kinds of token, two sets of rules

The £10 tokens behave like ordinary free bets: a single or an accumulator on any sportsbook market bar virtuals, at 1/100 or bigger, and racing is fair game. The £5 tokens are narrower. Each goes on one selection in a Bet Builder market at evens or bigger, and on football in practice. Neither type can be used each way, on full-cover multiples, or on forecasts and tricasts.

No topping up

A token cannot be combined with another token or with cash, so a £10 free bet cannot be topped up to a £15 stake, and two £5 tokens cannot be merged. Winnings are paid without the token stake, and the tokens cannot be used to claim another bonus.

A worked example

Deposit £10 by debit card and place a £10 win single on a 4/7 favourite at 1.57. Once it settles, the pop-up appears; accept it within seven days. A £10 token on a 9/2 winner at Haydock then returns £45 in cash, and a £5 Bet Builder token landing at 2/1 adds £10.

LiveScore Bet promotions for regular customers

Best Odds Guaranteed is the main racing concession, and its terms are tighter than the headline suggests. Bets must be placed after 10am on race day, the extra paid is capped at £50,000 per customer per day, and ante-post, in-running, derived-market, cashed-out and void bets are all excluded.

Who is eligible for the LiveScore Bet welcome bonus

New members who live in and are physically located in the UK, aged 18 or over. You can take only one new-member offer, and the one that applies is the offer selected at registration; LiveScore Bet asks anyone who has seen a different welcome deal elsewhere to check eligibility with support before signing up. Deposits by prepaid credit cards, disposable, virtual or prepaid debit cards, and debit cards whose issuer cannot be identified do not count. The free bets cannot be used alongside any other LiveScore Bet promotion, and self-excluding before the tokens are credited cancels the reward.

Is LiveScore Bet any good for racing? Our verdict

LiveScore Bet is the betting arm of the LiveScore group, the football scores brand, and it is built for that audience first. Racing is covered competently rather than lavishly: Best Odds Guaranteed on eligible British and Irish races, extra places, price boosts and Racing Post streams of British and Irish racing, all inside an app rated 4.7 by more than 11,000 users on the UK App Store. The welcome offer is friendly to racing, too, with a horse at 1/2 good enough to qualify.

The problem for a racing specialist is detail. LiveScore Bet does not set out its BOG start time or cap as clearly as the high-street firms, the bet menu is essentially win and each way, and there are only two ways to pay. The free bets from the welcome offer cannot go each way or on forecasts, which limits their use on the racecourse. It earns 6 out of 10: a quick, tidy app that does the racing basics and little more.
