If a Kick Off free bet wins, you earn a £10 Pro free bet, credited seven days after the first Kick Off token settles. A winning Pro earns an Elite free bet and a winning Elite a Champion free bet, each worth £10 with a maximum payout of £60. The guaranteed value is £30; the remaining £30 depends on your acca selections.

The deal is flexible about where the qualifying bet goes: any sport counts, from Aussie Rules through to Formula 1 and tennis, and there are no wagering requirements on the free bets themselves. Payment method and time limits are where punters slip up, so stick to a debit card and place the qualifying bet inside the first seven days.

Bet types

Highbet does not set out its racing bet types in a form we could check, so we have not listed them here. The welcome terms confirm that singles and multiples, pre-match and in-play, all count towards the qualifying bet, and that BetBuilder, Bet Boost and Enhanced Acca bets do not.

Streaming and racing features

There is no live racing streaming at Highbet; both of the independent reviews we consulted agree on that. If watching the race on the same screen as your bet matters to you, this alone rules Highbet out as a main racing account. The sportsbook’s promotional energy goes into accumulator cash boosts, which pay from 10% extra on a four-fold up to 100% on accas of 20 legs or more, with racing multiples eligible.

Highbet sports betting: odds boosts, Bet Builder and the markets

Away from racing, Highbet covers a broad spread of sports, with virtually everything from Aussie Rules to Formula 1 and tennis available alongside the football markets that drive most of its promotions.

Odds boosts are the crowd-pleaser. Highbet lengthens selected prices to give you a bigger return if the bet wins, and boosted bets sit alongside the acca cash boosts listed on its App Store page. Note that Bet Boost bets do not count towards the welcome offer.

Bet Builder is the other main feature. You only need to combine two or more different markets to build a bet, and it is available on more than half a dozen sports, which makes it one of the more flexible builders among the smaller UK brands. Like Bet Boost, BetBuilder bets are excluded from the welcome qualifying bet.

Beyond those two, the promotions lobby is light. Highbet may be an unheralded operator, but if it wants to keep existing customers on side it needs fresher deals for them once the welcome ladder has run its course.

Who can claim

The offer is for new, verified UK residents aged 18 or over who opt in before the qualifying bet. It is limited to one per person, household, IP address, email address, postal address and device, and Highbet says some customers may be ineligible because of profile or account restrictions. New players choose between the sports and casino welcome offers: qualifying for one rules out the other.

The qualifying bet

A single £10 deposit by debit card, then a first real-money bet of £10 at 2.0 or bigger within seven days of registration. Any sport and any market counts, single or multiple, before or during the event. A racing punter should be careful with multiples: if any selection is abandoned, cancelled, returned or void, the whole qualifying bet is invalid, so a non-runner in a racing double kills the claim. A win single on a horse that goes to post is the safer route.

Kick Off, Pro, Elite and Champion tokens

Three £10 Kick Off tokens land together when the qualifier settles, win or lose, each for an accumulator of at least four legs at 1.30 or bigger per leg and 4.0 overall. Only one Pro token can be earned, however many Kick Off accas win, and it arrives seven days after the first Kick Off token settles; each subsequent rung follows seven days after the previous token settles. Every token lasts seven days, has a £60 payout cap and cannot be cashed out. A void free bet that has not expired is returned to your balance.

Worked example

Qualify with £10 on a horse at 9/4. The three Kick Off tokens arrive when the race is settled. One goes on a four-fold of football and racing favourites at combined odds of 5.5 and lands, paying £45 because the stake is not returned. Seven days after your first Kick Off settles, the Pro token appears; if a 6.0 acca with it wins, the return is £50, comfortably under the £60 cap, and the Elite token follows a week after that.

Highbet promotions for existing customers: cashback, acca boosts and racing refunds

Once the welcome ladder is done, Highbet's regular promotions are more substantial than its small profile suggests, and two of them are aimed squarely at racing.

Non-Runner Money Back

If your horse does not run, Highbet returns the stake as a free bet. The promotion page says it covers all British and Irish races and names ante-post bets on Cheltenham and the Grand National among the examples, which is where it earns its keep: an ante-post bet on a horse that misses the race is normally lost.

First Past the Post

Highbet pays out if your horse crosses the line first and is later disqualified or demoted in the stewards' room, settling the bet as a winner.

Weekend Sports Cashback

Opt in and Highbet refunds 10% of net sportsbook losses between Friday and Sunday, from a minimum net loss of £10 up to £50 cashback. It is paid as withdrawable cash with no wagering, within 24 hours of the weekend ending, and qualifying bets must be at least £10. Lose £150 net across a weekend and £15 comes back. The terms say any sport qualifies without naming racing specifically, so check before counting on it for a Saturday card.

ACCA Mega Boost

No opt-in is needed: a winning pre-match accumulator of four or more selections at 3/10 or bigger each, staked at £5 or more in cash, earns a boost of 10% at four legs, 25% at six or seven, 50% at ten to 14 and 100% at 20 or more, up to £50,000 extra. Racing is eligible. A void, non-runner or sub-3/10 leg drops the bet one tier, so a six-fold with a non-runner is paid at the five-fold rate of 15%.

Highbet app and payments

Highbet’s iPhone app has a rating of 1.8 from just 20 ratings on the UK App Store, a small sample but hardly a ringing endorsement. It does not publish withdrawal times we could confirm, and its Trustpilot page, 1.3 from 248 reviews, includes complaints about withdrawals. Is Highbet safe and legit?

Highbet trades as a white label: the brand and website are Highbet’s, but the gambling licence belongs to SCGO Limited, UK Gambling Commission account 44662, which also holds the VBet UK licence and has no regulatory actions on the public register. That arrangement is common and legal; it means SCGO is the company answerable to the Commission for your account. The brand’s history is worth knowing. Its previous licensee, AG Communications Limited, was ordered by the Commission in February 2025 to divest and pay £1,407,834, and its domains, including highbet.com, are now inactive. The licensed domain is highbet.co.uk.

Highbet for horse racing: our verdict

Highbet is a sportsbook that has had more than one life. The brand launched in 2021, lost its original licensee and returned in 2025 trading on the licence of SCGO Limited, the Malta-based company behind VBet in the UK. What it offers new customers is a lively, football-shaped welcome package: bet £10 and receive £30 in accumulator free bets, with up to £30 more if those tokens keep landing.

For racing, the case is thinner. There are no live pictures, Best Odds Guaranteed is listed without published terms, and Highbet does not set out its racing markets in a form we could check. Add an App Store rating of 1.8 from 20 ratings and Trustpilot complaints about withdrawals, and a score of four feels fair. Racing punters will be better served elsewhere, keeping Highbet as an occasional extra account at most.
