The headline figure of up to £50 comes with a wagering requirement that does most of the work, and a handful of exclusions that decide which bets count towards it. Here is what each condition means in practice for a racing punter.

The qualifying deposit

You must select the bonus when you register and then make your first deposit; the 100% match is credited to your Sports bonus balance straight after it clears, up to a maximum of £50. Deposits made through Skrill or Neteller do not qualify, so use a debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or one of the other methods on the cashier page.

Ten times the bonus, worked through

The wagering is set at ten times the bonus amount, not the deposit plus bonus. Deposit £50 and you receive a £50 bonus, so you need to place £500 of qualifying bets before the balance converts to cash. Deposit £20 and the bonus is £20, which means £200 of qualifying bets.

The odds rules

Single bets must be at evens (2.00) or bigger to count, so a £10 win bet on a 6/4 shot contributes towards the target while a bet on a 4/6 favourite does not. Accumulators count only if every selection is 1/2 (1.50) or bigger; a single leg below that rules the whole bet out.

Bets that do not count

Wagers on Virtual Sports are excluded, as are bets that are voided, cancelled, drawn, cashed out or placed with a free bet. If you place several bets on the same event, only the first to settle counts, so splitting stakes across a single race will not speed things up.

Thirty days on the clock

You have 30 days from the time of your deposit to complete the wagering. After that, any remaining Sports bonus balance, including winnings made with it, is removed from the account.

Withdrawing early

Once the requirement is met, the balance moves to cash and can be withdrawn. Withdraw before then and the Sports bonus balance is forfeited, so it pays to finish the wagering before asking for any money back. Who owns 10bet? Malta roots and a football sponsorship history

10bet has been taking bets since 2003 and is run from Malta by Blue Star Planet Limited, the company that holds its British licence. Racing punters may know the name better from football than from the track. In the summer of 2018 it signed as principal sponsor of Blackburn Rovers, with its logo on the front of the home and away shirts, and as official betting partner of West Bromwich Albion, with branding on the back of the Baggies' shirts.

Ties with clubs of that standing gave a mid-sized bookmaker a foothold in the English game, though the Blackburn deal did not run its course: signed for three years, it ended a season early when 10bet triggered a break clause in August 2020, weeks before the 2020-21 campaign kicked off.

Is 10bet safe and legit?

10bet is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission under account 43173, held by Blue Star Planet Limited, a Malta-registered company. In 2023 the Commission fined the operator £620,000 for anti-money laundering and social-responsibility failings.
