Mecca Bingo Review: Play £5, Get a £20 Bingo Bonus or 50 Free Spins

Mecca Bingo promo code

You will not need a Mecca Bingo promo code. The Mecca Bingo welcome bonus is linked to your first deposit, and where you spend your first £5 decides which version you get: selected bingo rooms for a £20 bingo bonus, or selected slots for 50 free spins.

Whichever you choose, the Mecca Bingo sign-up offer adds a £10 voucher for use in a Mecca club, sent by email within 72 hours. The joining offer is open to new UK players aged 18 and over who fund their first deposit by a method other than PayPal or Paysafe.

How to claim the Mecca Bingo joining offer

1. Open Mecca Bingo through the Claim offer button on this page.
2. Choose Join and complete the registration form with your details.
3. Make a first deposit of £5 or more by debit card, Apple Pay or bank transfer; PayPal and Paysafe do not qualify.
4. Within seven days, spend £5 in a selected bingo room for the £20 bingo bonus, or £5 on selected slots for 50 free spins.
5. Look out for your £10 club voucher by email within 72 hours, and use the bonus within 30 days or the spins within seven.

Mecca Bingo welcome bonus: bingo, spins and a club voucher

Mecca asks for one of the smallest outlays in UK bingo. Deposit and spend £5 within seven days and you choose your reward: a £20 bingo bonus, or 50 free spins at 10p on King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas. Spending the £5 in selected bingo rooms takes you down the bingo route; spending it on selected slots takes you down the spins route.

Both versions add a £10 Mecca club voucher, which links the online account to Mecca’s high-street bingo halls. It can only be redeemed in a club, within the dates printed on it, so it is worth most to players with a Mecca nearby. Compare the offer with rivals in our best UK bingo sites guide.

Mecca Bingo rooms and ticket prices

Mecca’s lobby covers 50-ball, 75-ball, 80-ball and 90-ball games, and it sets out ticket ranges and prize levels for its main rooms. The rooms below are the ones most players will use.

Gold Bingo

The flagship 90-ball room, with tickets from 1p to 25p and more than £65,000 in daily prizes. It is also home to the Gold Mine Community Jackpot, the room’s shared prize pot.

Penny Lane and Main Event

Penny Lane is the budget 90-ball room, with tickets from 1p, prizes up to £500 and Premiere Bingo Jackpots. Main Event steps up to tickets that are usually 5p to 10p, with prizes up to £10,000.

Emoji Bingo and the faster formats

Emoji Bingo is a 50-ball game from 25p a ticket with prizes up to £250, quick enough for a short session. The 75-ball and 80-ball rooms fill out the middle ground between the speed games and traditional 90-ball.

Best Odds Bingo

Mecca’s most distinctive room caps every game at 25 players, each with 10 tickets. Because nobody can buy hundreds of cards, every player has the same chance in each game. It is excluded from the bingo bonus, so you play it with your own balance, but it is the room to try if busy games put you off.

Free bingo and Mecca club perks

Mecca runs free bingo every night between 8pm and 9pm in Penny Lane, and Lucky for Some is a free room in its own right. There is also one free daily pick to play. None of these needs a deposit beyond having an account, so they are a sensible way to try the rooms before spending.

The club link is what sets Mecca apart. Club members who deposit and stake £20 online in a calendar month can choose a reward each month: a £5 online bonus, a £5 slots club voucher or a £5 bingo club voucher. Mecca Cash Out works the other way round, letting you collect a withdrawal of between £10 and £100 in cash at a Mecca club.

Mecca also sends opt-in offers by email and lists bonus-code promotions on its promotions page from time to time. Read the terms of each before opting in; a reward that requires a set level of spending is only worth it if you would have played that much anyway.

Mecca Bingo welcome bonus terms explained: a worked example

On the bingo route, you deposit £5 and spend it in a selected bingo room within seven days. Mecca credits a £20 bingo bonus, which needs to be wagered five times on bingo, £100 in total, within 30 days before any winnings from it can be withdrawn. In Penny Lane at 1p a ticket that is a lot of games; in Main Event at 10p it is 1,000 tickets. The bonus cannot be used in Best Odds Bingo, the Deal or No Deal 75 and 90 rooms or invite-only rooms.

On the spins route, your 50 spins are worth 10p each, £5 in total, and expire seven days after they land. Anything they win goes straight to your cash balance. If the spins return £6, that £6 is yours to withdraw, with no wagering to clear. The Mecca offer page does not state a maximum win for either option.

Either way, the £10 club voucher arrives by email within 72 hours. For a player near a club, it adds real value; for one who is not, the online bonus is the whole offer. Since January 2026, wagering on UK bonuses has been capped at 10x, and Mecca’s 5x sits well inside it. Rank sister site Kitty Bingo runs a similar choice of welcome with a bigger bingo bonus for £10.

Mecca Bingo slots and Slingo

Mecca’s slots lobby includes an Only On Mecca section of exclusive games, alongside titles from Pragmatic Play and Playtech. Jackpot fans will find Jackpot King, Rapid Fire Jackpots and Must Drop jackpot slots, where the prize has to land before a set amount or time.

The Let’s Slingo section brings together slot-and-bingo hybrids such as Slingo Cash Eruption, Slingo Hop It, Slingo Piggy Bank and Slingo Rainbow Riches, a natural next step for bingo players curious about slots.

Online slots in Britain are limited to £5 a spin, or £2 a spin for players aged 18 to 24, and the limits apply at Mecca as at every UK-licensed site. For a bigger casino lobby, see our best UK online casinos.

Mecca Bingo app and payments

Mecca Bingo: Slots & Casino holds 4.4 stars from more than 32,000 ratings on the UK App Store, one of the largest review bases of any bingo app, and there is an Android version too. The app carries the rooms, slots and Slingo, as well as the account and cashier. See how it compares in our best betting apps guide.

The minimum deposit is £5, or £10 by PayPal, and PayPal cannot be used for your first deposit. Mecca accepts Visa and Mastercard debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, instant bank transfer through Trustly and Paysafecard for deposits only.

Withdrawals are a strength. With Fast Withdrawals, most payouts are processed instantly and reach major banks and PayPal within 15 minutes; Visa and Mastercard cards not enabled for the service take one to three working days. Mecca Cash Out lets you collect between £10 and £100 in cash at a club. Help is available at support.meccabingo.com, with live chat from 7am to 10.30pm, phone from 8am to 8pm and email.

Mecca Bingo: from the high street to the app

Mecca’s story starts in its clubs, which date back to 1961, and the company still runs more than 70 of them across the UK. That heritage shapes the website more than you might expect: the club voucher in the welcome offer, the online perks for club members and the option to collect winnings in cash at a club counter all stem from it.

Online, Mecca was named Bingo Operator of the Year at the International Gaming Awards three years running, from 2014 to 2016, and it became the official bingo partner of Britain’s Got Talent in 2022. Today it is the flagship of The Rank Group’s bingo brands.

Is Mecca Bingo safe and legit?

Mecca Bingo online is run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, part of The Rank Group, under UK Gambling Commission account 57924; the clubs hold a separate land-based licence. The online licence also covers Grosvenor Casinos, Kitty Bingo, Lucky Pants Bingo and The Vic, and meccabingo.com is listed as an active domain on the Commission’s register.

The group has faced regulatory action in the past. In January 2022, Rank Digital Gaming (Alderney) Limited, which then traded as meccabingo.com among other brands, agreed a £700,557 regulatory settlement over social responsibility failures. In October 2018 The Rank Group paid a £500,000 penalty package relating to a Grosvenor customer. No action is recorded against the current licensee.

Mecca takes part in GAMSTOP, the national self-exclusion scheme, and signposts the GamCare helpline on 0808 8020 133. Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are all available from the account, and because Rank runs several sister sites, an exclusion at one is worth extending to the others.

Mecca Bingo pros and cons

Mecca Bingo: our verdict

Mecca has been part of British bingo since 1961, and its website makes more of that history than any rival. The welcome offer comes with a £10 voucher for one of its clubs, withdrawals can be collected in cash at a club counter, and the online rooms run from penny games in Penny Lane to Gold Bingo’s £65,000-plus of daily prizes. Best Odds Bingo, where no game has more than 25 players, is a genuinely different idea.

The site suits players who like their bingo traditional and their stakes low. A £5 deposit is enough to claim the welcome bonus, the bingo bonus carries 5x wagering, and spin winnings are paid straight to your cash balance. Most withdrawals land in minutes rather than days, which is still unusual in bingo.

It earns an eight. The club voucher is only useful if you live near a Mecca club, several premium rooms are excluded from the bingo bonus, PayPal and Paysafe deposits do not qualify, and support is not around the clock. The Rank Group’s past regulatory settlements are worth knowing about too. None of that outweighs a well-run, well-stocked site with a real link to the clubs.
